"Providing meaningful support where it really counts is particularly important to us in the initiatives we support," explains Beatrix Pollak, SHT Board Spokeswoman, adding: "In 2015, we donated 10,000 to the Lebenslicht association in Krumbach and, together with industry partners, as much as 73,000 to the Lebensart association in Kaltenleutgeben, both in Lower Austria."

At the Krumbach daycare center, children and young adults with special needs are lovingly cared for. An important part of this care is the work in the various workshops. SHT's donation will be used to purchase new tools and machines, up-to-date protective clothing and to modernize the wood workshop.

In the Elfenhain in Kaltenleutgeben, SHT was able to finance a new building together with the companies Danfoss, Geberit, Grohe, Ideal Standard, Laufen, Neoperl, OMP, Palme, Provex, Rettig and SAM. The new light-flooded rooms were eagerly awaited by the residents, as the existing building had run out of space over time.

"The beaming faces on the recipients and the caregivers, the warm welcome into the community and the genuine unadulterated happiness give us pause for a moment in these stressful times," states Beatrix Pollak, adding, "We are particularly pleased that our customers also respond positively to this social commitment."
